Euro Sport shift kits are another necessity in achieving the maximum performance of your (non-cable shifting) Volkswagen‚. Each kit offers the choice of 30% or 50% in shift throw reduction. This is a bolt on simple to install shift bracket that replaces the stock VW bracket near the transmission. Each kit is finished in gloss black powdercoat.

Note:  Will not work on cable shift cars.

Best short shifter for mk2 / mk3 020

The short shifter tightens up the feel of the shifter nicely, and shortens the throw significantly. Throw in a shift linkage rebuild kit and your old VW will shift like a dream for years to come!

Good quality, easy install

Very satisfied with this short throw bracket. Took about 15 minutes to install at the 50% reduction. The 30% needs about a 5 degree angle in the weight rod, the 50% needs about 15-20% (as they suggest in the instructions) angle in the weight rod. Use discretion when bending the angle in the weight rod, it’s very easy to bend. i gently tapped on the end to the ground, for the side that i wanted to angle. Likely not the professional way....Worked perfectly for me though and left no mars/marks.

Worth every penny

My only regret is not getting this sooner. Real easy to install with minimum tools. It really made the car ride more fun. The throws were significantlly shorter and my shifter was more stiff. It was a little too stiff for my liking at first but after a month or so it has gotten softer to my liking. Would definitely buy again if I ever got another mk3 golf.
