Heavy Duty Engine Mounts
The VW factory engine mounts were designed as a soft
flexible mount, to provide a very comfortable drive.
Their drawback was the large amount of engine movement
it allowed under torque load and on hard acceleration.
Engine movement of the decreases stability under high
performance driving conditions and gear selection. We
guarantee you will feel the difference when using these
mounts.
To
reduce this movement VF-Engineering made complete
replacement billet mounts fitted with molded, high
durometer polyurethane inserts. These mounts are constructed
from billet aluminum and supplied with high tensile
hardware. Which means the stock mount will snap before
the VF mounts even bend. .
These
high performance mounts have been tested on a supercharged
Mk4 VR6 with 280hp and provides a dramatic difference
in the stability of the car when accelerating and braking
hard. The effect is far greater than you get by just
changing your bush inserts. Gear changing under
hard acceleration is also greatly enhanced. It makes
a terrific difference on the 1.8T for example, giving you much greater
control over drifting and wheel spin reduction for
dragging.

FRONT MOTOR MOUNTS
The VW factory mount is constructed from 1 thin (rubber)
bushing and 1 thicker (rubber) bushing. The thick bushing
is designed to compress on deceleration. The thin bushing
is designed to compress on acceleration. VF-Engineers
chose to redesign this mount by swapping the purpose
of the bushings to use polyurethane instead of rubber.
The new VF design is setup for the thicker bush to absorb
load on acceleration and deceleration - the point under
which the VF mount is subject to maximum stress. Making
it more effective, especially under hard driving and
or racing conditions.
VF-Engineering
designed tooled up and manufactured a complete new
replacement containing a molded, high durometer polyurethane
insert. The mount is constructed from billet aluminum
and supplied with the highest tensile hardware available.
Fitting should take no more than 30 minutes and fits
ALL Mk3 Golf, Jetta, Passat, Vento VR6 and Corrado
SLC.
